Hello! My name is Malena Zook. I am a sophomore at Indiana University, majoring in Informatics with a cognate in Telecommunications. I also plan to specialize in Instrucational Systems Technology through the School of Education. After receiving my BS in Informatics, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs with a focuse on the utilization of technology in this field. My insterests include web design, graphic design, social media, and all things technology.
I am from the small town of Flora, Indiana - population 2,227. There were 80 people in my graduating class, and about 50 of us had gone to school together since kindergarten. I live on a farm and was actively involved with 4-H and FFA growing up. My county is the largest hog-producing county in the enitre state - in fact, pigs outnumber people about 20 to 1.
A fun fact about myself - I am one of quadruplets! That's right, I have a sister and two brothers who are all the SAME age as me…well, we are one minute apart, but close enough! Our lives have been centered around fours – four drivers licenses, four caps and gowns, four pairs of braces, and (eventually) even four cell phones. My siblings and I will never say that we look alike, but you can be the judge of that:
